  • After a round of SXSW gigs, PC Music flagbearers SOPHIE and A. G. Cook will touch down in LA and San Francisco next week. After building a following via a prolific output posted to their Soundcloud page, the netlabel emerged as something of a critical lightning rod last year. Adam Harper wrote on the label for RA last September: "PC Music and its artists—GFOTY, Hannah Diamond, Lipgloss Twins, Dux Content—have been controversially cute, infantile, poppy, kitsch, sentimental, bad taste. Where there seems to be any nostalgia involved in their music, it looks back to dance-pop of the turn of the millennium or early grime." SOPHIE, who has also released well-received singles on Numbers, will appear with PC Music boss A. G. Cook. Their joint project, QT, will also stage a performance. The SF gig is set for Thursday, March 26th at 1015 Folsom with support from Grimecraft and Trekkie Trax. The tour will make a final stop at LA's Echoplex on Friday the 27th. Check out A. G. Cook's "Drop FM" below.
