The low-key techno producer is behind a three-part vinyl series on Peter Van Hoesen's label.
Not much is known about SP-X aside from the producer's output of lean, no-nonsense techno, which has already featured on Time To Express as well as one other label, Komisch. Moving Through Mirrors looks to be the artist's most expansive effort, and it comes after more than a year-long pause—until now, we hadn't heard anything new from SP-X since 2013's Circuit Breaker EP for Komisch.
It's the second vinyl trilogy to be issued on Time To Express, after the 2013 Receiver series of remixes in support of label boss Peter Van Hoesen's Perceiver LP, and it marks a return to wax for the Belgian imprint, following two digital EPs from Van Hoesen, the second of which came out last month. (These tracks will also come in digital formats.) After this week's release of Moving Through Mirrors 1/3, the second and third records will arrive in May and June, respectively.
