  • Refracted is about to make his US debut with a four-city tour. A Berlin-based purveyor of deep, hypnotic techno, Refracted has made tracks for Aconito, Connwax and Reaktivate, and he recently launched his own label, Mind Express. There's also a connection with Vancouver label Silent Season, which is where his first vinyl EP, Along A Ghostly Trail, saw release, back in 2013, and where he'll put out his first album, Through The Spirit Realm, in June. Details for the LP are still scarce, but you can try out a track below. Silent Season has organized this stateside trek for Refracted, who will DJ at each stop. First is a Silent Season showcase in Boulder this Friday as part of Communikey 2015 (the festival's final year), also featuring Jamie McCue, Segue and the label's visual artist Danthon. Refracted will then headline a Form The Head night in Portland next Monday, before hitting Seattle next Friday for a secondnature event, where live sets will come from wndfrm, who just put out an EP on Prologue, and Archivist, a resident who recently appeared on Portland's blankstairs imprint, here playing his debut live set. To finish his trek, Refracted will swing through Philadelphia the next night, where he tops the bill for a 27-hour Rizumu party (stretching until 2 AM Monday), celebrating that crew's 13th anniversary.
