- The celebrated UK artist's second solo LP is coming in May.
Dego has a new solo album in the works called The More Things Stay The Same.
The LP will land on May 26th via Dennis McFarlane's own label, 2000BLACK. It comes three years on from his debut solo album, A Wha' Him Deh Pon, and sees McFarlane exploring mid-tempo jazz fusion, funk and electro. "The More Things Stay The Same is about the state of play—truth can bring despair as well as hope," McFarlane says. "The two sit side by side. Like history: often repeating mistakes, but also bringing learning and progress." The record features appearances from multi-instrumentalists Kaidi Tatham, Mr Mensah and Matt Lord, vocalist Sharlene Hector and hip-hop artist TY.
