  • Mood Hut staple Jack J will release the Thirstin' EP via Future Times next month. Last year, Vancouver's Mood Hut collective made waves with a raft of cool, collected house music, culminating with MH007, Jack J's RA Recommended solo EP. The label has formed a strong bond with Maxmillion Dunbar's DC-based Future Times imprint, with constituents Hashman Deejay and House Of Doors issuing music through the label last year. Future Times says the new cut, "Thirstin," "takes the day-in-the-life quintessence of 'Something (On My Mind)' even further, using his voice to beautify the sparkling, spaced track." The label also says the B-side instrumental, "Atmosphere," has a "Patrick Adams vibe." Check out samples below.
