Ry X and Frank Wiedemann's group will make its US debut along with a number of European appearances starting in July.
The rising group, which includes Âme's Frank Wiedemann, takes to the road following the May release of their debut album Sacred Ground, a record RA's Tony Naylor said falls into "an indie-dance lineage traceable from Scritti Politti to LCD Soundsystem to James Blake." The Monkeytown artists will play alongside Dauwd and David August at Sacred Ground. (Howling's own festival, which takes place about 100 km north of Berlin, isn't providing set times.)
Following that gathering, they're booked in Milan and will hit German festival Melt! along with London's Lovebox before heading stateside. Their first US show will take place July 29th at Brooklyn club Output. Two days later, they'll touch down at Los Angeles warehouse venue Lot 613, with Wiedemann's Âme also appearing at both gigs. Howling wraps up their summer with performances at Holland's Lowlands Festival and Belgium's Pukkelpop.
Back in April, the duo took part in the RA Sessions film series. Check out their performance below.
