John Tejada heads to Columbus

- The Kompakt fixture will make his local debut at a Midwest Fresh all-nighter this weekend.
- John Tejada will play live at Midwest Fresh in Columbus, Ohio this Saturday. Back in February, Tejada released his latest album for Kompakt, the well-reviewed Signs Under Test. He followed that with the Dramamine EP, released via his own Palette Recordings last month. In Columbus, he'll perform at Midwest Fresh, an all-night party which launched last summer. Daniel Bell and Shawn Rudiman have headlined the event in recent months. Previous Midwest Fresh guest Titonton Duvante is on support. The Columbus native and current Brooklyn resident shares a longtime connection with Tejada—the two collaborated on a few records back in the early-'00s. Duvante's Residual Recordings and Contrast Music Columbus are helping to promote the show, which is set to go down at 566 West Rich. Brian Kaka, Jed James, Tony Fairchild round out the BYOB affair.
