  • A second round of names has been added to the lineup for this year's Berlin Atonal, taking place at Kraftwerk Berlin from August 19th through 23rd. As usual, artists premiering new live shows make up a decent portion of the new additions. Shackleton will unveil a live set called Powerplant (perhaps taking its title from his 2012 track of the same name), while Berlin techno producer Shed drops a previously-unseen A/V show. Paul Jebanasam and Tarik Barri will also debut a new joint live project called Continuum. A showcase from Abdulla Rashim's Northern Electronics label is another highlight. The founder will drop a set under his more experimental Lundin Oil guise, sharing the bill with Puce Mary, Acronym and Vit Fana. Other acts locked in for the main event include Powell, Regis, Talker and legendary Sheffield EBM duo Clock DVA. Swedish techno artist Varg is confirmed for a live set as Ivory Towers, collaborating with Body Sculptures and Frederikke Hoffmeier. These names join the likes of Kangding Ray, Mike Parker and Faust on the bill.
