Located within the Ibiza Gran hotel, the project is a collaboration between world-renowned chefs the Adrià brothers and Cirque Du Soleil.
Heart Ibiza is the newest addition to the White Isle's party circuit, presenting a weekly fusion of music, food and art.
For the project, Cirque Du Soleil CEO Guy Laliberté has teamed up with the Adrià brothers, the chefs behind much-lauded (and now closed) restaurant ElBulli. The 1000-capacity venue, which is located within the Ibiza Gran Hotel in Marina Botafoch, is split into three spaces: the Terrace, Supper and Club. Most of the electronic artists booked—a wide-ranging mix of bands, live acts and DJs—will perform in Club, where they'll soundtrack live shows from the Cirque Du Soleil troupe from midnight through 6 AM.
Heart Ibiza opened at the end of June, and has since hosted Sven Väth, Bob Moses and Nils Frahm. The programme continues tonight (Tuesday, July 7th) with a Boiler Room event featuring Nile Rodgers' Chic and The Martinez Brothers, before Visionquest play on the 9th. Acid Pauli's weekly Acid Sundays residency starts this weekend, and there are slots for The Orb (16th), Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons (21st), George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic (28th) and Groove Armada (31st) all to come before the month is out.
There's plenty more planned across the summer, including live performances from Hercules & Love Affair, Henrik Schwarz & Bugge Wesseltoft, Brandt Brauer Frick, Booka Shade, Benoit & Sergio and Duran Duran, and DJ sets from Craig Richards, DJ Three, Guy Gerber and Carl Cox.
