Barcelona promoter IR will host five open-air parties at El Monasterio Of El Poble Espanyol in August.
The new Saturday series is called aIR. Running weekly from August 1st through 29th, the first four events will run as party and label showcases, with IR overseeing the closing bash. For the opening, Flying Circus has sets lined up from dOP, DJ Tennis and Audiofly, who will go back-to-back with Blond:ish. Davide Squillace's This And That (Guti, Robert Dietz) is the week after, followed by Pampa Records (DJ Koze, Robag Wruhme) on the 15th and Mobilee with Anja Schneider and Alan Fitzpatrick on the 22nd. Rounding out the month will be Levon Vincent and a back-to-back from Ben UFO and Joy Orbison. Doors open at 2 PM.

Tell us about the concept behind the aIR parties.
After a few years doing the busy weeks in June and club nights, we always had our thoughts on offering something more during the summer in Barcelona, and aIR came up as an idea. It's a cycle of five outdoor daytime events showcasing new and old friends at our magic spot, El Monasterio.
How did you go about selecting the lineups?
The lineups are a result of collaboration with both locally based labels, as well as some new and old friends. El Monasterio is a special place which we believe should be shared with as many people as possible without borders. We're also focused on taking care of the essentials, which is to have a good time with a soundtrack for each shared moment.
What else have you got planned for 2015?
With my partners Leonardo and Nerone we are thrilled to re-launch our label Indigo Raw later this year. We also have a stage at Dekmantel By Night at the end of July, and we are planning some events in South America for the end of the year. Apart from that, we are always looking for new adventures to expand the horizon and create new relationships at home and abroad.
