- The Los Angeles label will put out cassettes by Paradise 100, Cherushii and Auscultation in August.
100% Silk will release three cassettes on August 14th.
The first new drop comes from Paradise 100, a Brussels-based producer who returns to the label with Northern Seoul after his 2013 12-inch, The Loin King. This round also has new material from another 100% Silk veteran, Cherushii, AKA San Francisco artist Chelsea Faith. Known for her live performances, the Memory Of Water cassette hits in the midst a busy year—Cherushii self-released two online-only EPs in 2015, with plans for another Silk 12-inch before the year's out.
Last up is Auscultation, an alias of Oregon musician Joel Shanahan. Auscultation's debut album came out on 1080p last year, following Shanahan's releases for 100% Silk (and sister label Not Not Fun) as Golden Donna.
The tape label has kept up a typically prolific pace this year, issuing Jupiter Jax's debut album Visions, a 12-inch from Bobby Browser, a digital compilation and five tapes from the likes of Policy and The Cyclist. Check out Auscultation's "Promise You'll Haunt Me" below.
