- Scott Monteith's tenth full-length is due out in November, and it'll be preceded by two vinyl-only releases.
Dubby techno purveyor Deadbeat's next album, Walls & Dimensions, is set to land in November.
Walls & Dimensions will be the tenth full-length from Scott Monteith, and like the last three, it's set to come through his own label BLKRTZ. It looks to be a very personal album, with the Canadian artist himself pointing to his father-in-law's death in an accident late last year, "business-related woes" and global upheaval as key influences.
"I hit a lot of walls at full speed and face first over the course of this album's creation," Monteith says. "In knocking them down, though, I discovered new creative dimensions I hadn't imagined existed."
Monteith has often worked with other artists (perhaps most prominently Paul St. Hilaire—the two teamed up for The Infinity Dub Sessions last year), and Walls & Dimensions will feature a handful of collaborators in vocalists Fink, Delhia de France and Elif Becir, plus cellist Maarten Vos. In a first, Monteith has also contributed his own vocals to "I Get Low."
The album will come in triple-vinyl, CD and digital formats in November. Before that are two vinyl-only releases with extended mixes. Walls & Dimensions I, which came out this week, is made up of a 40-minute version of the album's ambient last track "Lights For Lele" (dedicated to Monteith's father-in-law), and Walls & Dimensions II, scheduled to drop on September 4th, will feature extended takes on "I Get Low" and "Rage Against The Light."

BLKRTZ will release Walls & Dimensions on November 6th, 2015. Walls & Dimensions I is available now, and Walls & Dimensions II will be released on September 4th, 2015.
