  • Civil Duty will headline VX & Sure Thing's Halloween party on October 30th at San Francisco club F8. Civil Duty, the collaborative project of prolific Chicago producer Beau Wanzer and Shawn O'Sullivan, released their self-titled debut LP for Anthony Parasole's The Corner earlier this year. RA's Angus Finlayson described that record as "a pressure-cooked techno album that features some of the most straightforward music of either's career." The Halloween weekend show marks the group's first appearance in San Francisco. Vancouver-based dark electronics duo Minimalviolence are also set to perform live. The rest of the bill consists of VX and Sure Thing residents as well as established SF jocks Jason Greer and Tyrel Williams. VX also has an October 2nd show with Regis on the books while Sure Thing recently branched into LA, presenting Northern and Southern California dates for Laurel Halo last month. Tickets to VX & Sure Thing present Civil Duty are available here on RA.
