  • Cameo Gallery will close its doors on November 21st. In a statement posted on Facebook this afternoon, the team behind Brooklyn venue Cameo Gallery announced that they will shut down next month. "We want to give a heartfelt thanks to all those who have been a part of our existence since we opened our doors seven years ago," they said. Since opening in 2008, the no-frills 150-capacity club has hosted acts like Frankie Knuckles, Juan Atkins, Neon Indian, Nicolas Jaar, Simian Mobile Disco and DJ Sprinkles, as well as residencies with local scene staples like Jacques Renault and The Juan Maclean. Their programming will continue up until their closing date. "We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been part of an amazing music scene," they continue. "In the meantime we invite you to come enjoy the last events we have in store." As of now they've already announced a Ghostly International label showcase in time for CMJ, which will feature sets from Shigeto, Beacon, Xeno & Oaklander and Heathered Pearls, among others.
