Charles Cohen has been arrested with attempting sexual intercourse with a minor.
The American synth artist was picked up by police in Upper Providence, Pennsylvania on September 28th, when he tried to meet up with what he thought was a 14-year old boy he had been talking to online, for the purposes of oral sex. The online exchange was actually an undercover sting by police, and when Cohen showed up at the agreed meeting spot in Upper Providence, he was arrested.
According to The Times Herald, Cohen has been charged with involuntary deviant sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 16, unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility. His bail has been set at $100,000.
Cohen, a veteran of electronic music, has been in the midst of a career revival following several records and reissues for Morphine. He's also set to play the upcoming Unsound festival in Krakow next week.
