  • Claudio PRC will share for free a live album called From The Nebular Stars To The Mosses On The Granite Rocks. The Italian DJ and producer is a key part of his country's modern deep techno scene, thanks to releases on Prologue, Aconito, Trolldans and other likeminded labels. Aside from his solo output, he's known for his collaboration with Ness, a fellow native of Sardinia with his own heady take on techno—the two work together as The Gods Planet, a project that has yielded a run of self-issued records as well as a recent single for Outis Music, and a cassette album, on On2Sides, whose 2013 release was followed by a reissue through the duo's eponymous label just a few weeks ago. Ambient, experimental and electro-acoustic music has long influenced PRC's productions, and From The Nebular Stars..., due out October 14th on the TGP label, sees him fully engage with those sounds. It's a recording of a recent performance at The Main Tropical Greenhouse of Botanical Gardens and Botanic Museum of Berlin, commissioned by Frantic Gallery, that served as the soundtrack to Kosmos, an exhibition from Japanese artist Macoto Murayama inspired by (and named after) Alexander von Humboldt's 19th-century treatise on science and nature. Murayama's work Sunflower also serves as cover art for the recording. (His show will run at the Botanical Gardens through November 1st.) From The Nebular Stars To The Mosses On The Granite Rocks is set to come as a free digital download via The Gods Planet's Bandcamp page. For now, you can listen to a full stream below. PRC has another new release that's due out this week—along with Donato Dozzy and Giorgio Gigli, he's remixed a track from Dino Sabatini and Gianluca Meloni's Modern Heads collaboration on Outis Music.
