- The UK producer's first full-length will hit in November.
Acre will release his debut LP, Better Strangers, on November 13th.
The Manchester producer made his debut back in 2013 with EPs for a smattering of labels that included Visionist's Lost Codes, Project 13 MCR and Pinch's labels Cold Recordings and Tectonic, the latter of which is handling the album. (Acre and Filter Dread also inaugurated the new PAN sublabel Codes earlier this year.) Where his previous work has navigated UK bass styles and, occasionally, techno, the label says that on Better Strangers "Acre has sought to explore a wider variety of textures... to recontextualize elements from UK bass music and open up new possibilities."
"I tried to include more emotion in this album than my previous releases and wanted to represent a broader side of my productions," Acre says. "The title Better Strangers comes from the feeling that some people make better strangers than friends (or better off being strangers) in your life, and the album is about recognizing that."
