Sónar Reykjavik announces first names for 2016

- Squarepusher, Holly Herndon and Rødhåd are confirmed for the February event.
- Next year's Sónar Reykjavik will run from February 18th through 20th. The action will go down at the ultra-modernist Harpa Concert Hall, a waterside space that first opened in 2011. Sónar Reykjavik has been held there since launching in 2013. Organisers have locked almost ten internationals for its fourth edition, covering both experimental and more straightforward house and techno fare. Squarepusher, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Holly Herndon will deliver the leftfield sounds, while Rødhåd, Recondite and The Black Madonna supply the house and techno. Hudson Mohawke has also been booked. As usual, a batch of local acts have been confirmed, this time including Apparat Organ Quartet, Sturla Atlas and Úlfur Úlfur. More names will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
