- The Auxiliary and Samurai collaboration—where the music is completely uncredited—will deliver its first record in December.
Auxiliary and Samurai Music have announced the first record on their new Grey Area imprint.
The concept was first announced earlier this year, meant to highlight the increasingly between-genre sounds of artists on the Auxiliary and Samurai family of labels. Or, in their words, "to bridge the gap between our two favourite tempos: 85/170 & 128 BPM."
The idea is to present the music without context, artist credits or info, in order to remove any preconceived notions. After putting out a podcast with some of the forthcoming music in August, they're now ready to drop the first release, which will hit on December 6th.
