Lance Neptune will release his first full-length, Animal Eclipse, via Magicwire Recordings on February 12th.
The Glenarden, Maryland producer first became associated with Lone (AKA Matt Cutler) with his recent remix of the UK artist's "Minor Suns." Neptune's "warm pulsating pads, lush melodies and spatial chords" make him a solid fit for Lone's imprint, which has been on hiatus for a few years. (Though Cutler's first LP, Lemurian, was just reissued jointly by Magicwire and R&S Records, who are also helping out with Animal Eclipse.) The press release speaks to this, saying "Magic Wire is back with its blend of lo-fi 90s nostalgia inspired by VHS skate tapes… Animal Eclipse’s ethereal experience is the perfect reintroduction."
