  • Roland is adding a pair of headphones to its AIRA series. Produced in collaboration with V-Moda, the M-100s are designed to match the classic-referencing gear in Roland's electronic music production hardware series. That works on an aesthetic level—the cans feature the AIRA logo and, where the earcups meet the headband, a chevron in the familiar green found on the likes of the TR-8 and the TB-3. Roland says the headphones were also engineered with the line's sonics in mind, with "large-diameter (50 mm) high definition dual diaphragm drivers and 5–30,000 Hz frequency response [ensuring] optimum audibility of AIRA instruments." Memory foam earpads meant for keeping out noise, a heavy-duty removable cable and a carrying case round out the package. No word yet on pricing or availability.
