  • Online record marketplace Discogs has rededicated its efforts to its VinylHub record store directory. Discogs, which started as a resource for electronic music DJs, currently boasts a catalog of over 6,300,000 entries from 4,000,000 artists, built off a user-generated model which allows collectors to catalog, rate and sell their collections. The VinylHub concept is quite similar, giving record buyers a chance to enter and rate stores while noting details such as as hours of operation. VinylHub will also catalog record fairs and pop-up stores, as well as notable record stores from the past. The site launched a year ago and currently has information on 4637 shops. 2016 will also bring iOS and Android apps from Discogs.
