  • The fifth Omar-S album is coming out via FXHE Records in early 2016. Though the LP's title is yet to be confirmed, the Detroit producer and DJ told RA that it'll be out "early next year." Clocking in at ten tracks, it features collaborations with Tom Bugs, Amp Fiddler, John F.M., Diviniti and "many more." The album will be Omar-S's first full-length since 2013's Thank You For Letting Me Be Myself. Since then he's overseen two mix CDs, the first of which celebrated the tenth anniversary of FXHE, and released solo and collaborative EPs at a steady rate. His most recent record is Sidetrakx Volume #4, which landed earlier this month. He has also started a quarterly residency at Grasshopper in Detroit, with the next party happening on Saturday, February 6th. Omar-S was one of five artists to record a mix as part of RA's 500th podcast. Listen to his mix, as well as efforts from Dixon, Ben UFO, Steffi and Nicolas Jaar, here.
