  • Ital Tek's fifth full-length is on the way. Alan Myson has been a staple of the latter-day Planet Mu roster since debuting on the label back in 2007. With four albums and several more EPs to his name, he's one of the UK imprint's most prolific artists. Hollowed marks his return home after two 12-inches for Civil Music. For this one, Myson went back to the drawing board completely, looking to his earliest methods of making music from when he was a teenager. The label promises it's less floor-focused than his dubstep and footwork-inspired past material, going for a sound that's "abstract, impressionistic and elegant." "When I was 15 I would make endless minidiscs with my guitar and effects," Myson says. "With this record I bought the guitar I wanted back then and hit record, creating hours of drones, loops and textures. I wanted to make the album that was in my head when I was 14 but I had no idea how to." Listen to "Reflection Through Destruction" below.
