- The Japanese trio and respected dub producer will release an album via On-U Sound in April.
Nesennenmondai's next album, produced by Adrian Sherwood, will land via On-U Sound on April 1st.
The live trio perform techno using a stripped-back setup of drums, bass and guitar. Their last album, N, came out in 2013, and they tapped the enigmatic UK producer Shackleton for a remix 12-inch that came out last month. Nesennenmondai recorded their new studio album, #N/A, with Sherwood, and it's set to land on his On-U Sound label.
The LP also comes with two live recordings from a gig at the Tokyo club Unit, where Sherwood accompanied the trio with an array of dub effects, including reverb, space echo delay and EQing. #N/A originally came out late last year—without the two live tracks—as a limited CD release available only in Japan via Tokyo's Beat Records. Now On-U is picking it up for worldwide distribution.
