Binh and Eli Verveine play Saturday's launch party at the new venture.
The 400-capacity venue has been founded by Martin Kling and Majkel Koko, two Stockholm-based record collectors and promoters with strong ties to the city's house and techno scene. They're part of Halloomi, a record digging crew that also features Stockholm DJs Axel Hallqvist, Engjell Kasa, Flord King, Martin and Maya Lourenco. They will serve as the club's residents, and help manage its bookings. Robert Bohman designed mmmmm's interior.
At first glance, the new club's booking policy seems to focus on DJs who currently don't have a big presence in Sweden. Binh, who's never played in Stockholm before, will be spinning at tonight's launch, along with Eli Verveine. Etienne, a Berlin-based selector with a deep and respected record collection, is also confirmed. Guests for the coming months include Nicolas Lutz, Gwenan, Francesco Del Garda, Convextion, Slow Life and Andrew James Gustav.
Tonight's party kicks off at an early 3 PM and runs for 12 hours. Entrance is free.
