Surachai has a new album, Instinct And Memory, in the works.
Instinct And Memory will be the Chicago-based experimental producer's sixth solo full-length, and the fourth issued through BL_K NOISE, the label and modular-focused event series he runs alongside Moe Espinosa, AKA LA techno stalwart Drumcell. (Espinosa, who also uses the alias Hypoxia, was a guest on RA Sessions last month.)
We can expect another serving of dark and heavy electronics on this one, with a press release promising "sorcerous rhythms and paralyzing drones" across its eight tracks. A few other artists have contributed to the release, including Annie Hall, who features on two productions. The album's artwork comes courtesy of Emilie Elizabeth and Briana Gonzales, while Francis Kmiecik handles calligraphy. It'll arrive on double-vinyl, CD and digital formats near the end of April.
