  • An all-star Detroit lineup will come together to raise funds in support of those affected by the Flint water crisis at TV Lounge on March 11th. In 2014, Edward Kurtz, an emergency manager appointed by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to get the troubled city's finances in order, switched Flint's water supply from Lake Huron to the Flint River, a corrosive source which caused lead from aging pipes to seep into drinking water. The supply has since been switched back, but only after 6,000 to 12,000 children were exposed to water high levels of lead, which can result in health problems down the line. 100 percent of the proceeds from the event on the 11th will benefit Flint by providing financial resources for residents as well as donations to the Child Health and Development Fund. Detroit legend Moodymann tops the lineup, which also includes D'Marc Cantu and Tadd Mullinix's 2AM/FM, Sistrum Recordings boss Patrice Scott (playing back-to-back with DJ Minx), Rick Wilhite and UR operative Mike Agent X Clark. Keith Worthy and Kevin Reynolds are also on the bill, as are the Saunderson brothers (Damarii and Dantiez). Their dad, Kevin, is the celebrity bartender for the evening. Check out the full lineup in the event listing below.
