- The artist, who also releases as High Wolf and Black Zone Myth Chant, will issue Time Remaining Unknown next month.
Max P. will release Time Remaining Unknown, his second album as Kunlun in mid-April.
While his last few releases have been heavy on percussion, this new LP is a return to his roots in drone and psychedelia. It contains six tracks of analog synthesis improvisation that the label describes as "New Age music gone wrong."
Last year he released an album of hypnotic synthesizer music as Black Zone Myth Chant, which he says was inspired by Sun Ra, Vox Populi!, and DJ Screw. He followed up with another LP only six months later, Growing Wild, this time under the alias High Wolf. That one drew influence from a wide swath of African styles, from Shangaan electro to Angolan batida music.
