  • CoH is about to set out on a seven-stop tour of the West Coast. This will be the first stateside tour for CoH, the Russian-born experimental producer and sound artist who's released on the likes of Editions Mego (where he's got another album in the works for later this year), Raster-Noton and Line. He'll be performing live in support of his upcoming Return To Mechanics EP for San Francisco's Ge-stell label, and fellow Ge-stell affiliates Brandon Nickell and Cameron Shafii (who appear with remixes on that EP) will join him on the lineup at each gig with their own live sets. First up, this Friday, is a night with Surface Tension at F8 in San Francisco—one more live set at that one will come from Berlin leftfield techno artist rRoxymore. Then on Saturday, CoH, Nickell and Shafii will share the bill with Pinkcourtesyphone, AKA Line label boss—and CoH's Chessmachine collaborator—Richard Chartier at the Human Resources nonprofit space in Los Angeles, before heading to Phoenix on Sunday and San Diego on Monday. A TBA gig on Tuesday the 15th (with no further details currently available) is up next before the tour swings through Seattle on Thursday the 17th and lastly Portland on the 19th. Head to The Wire for a full stream of the Return To Mechanics EP, which along with a remixes from Nickell and Shafii, features CoH's take on the Donna Summers classic "I Feel Love." Tickets to Surface Tension are available on RA.
