  • Torn Hawk will release his second full-length for Mexican Summer, Union And Return, on May 13th. The solo project of video artist and musician Luke Wyatt bubbled up in the early '10s with a prolific stream of lo-fi guitar and drum machine jams for labels like L.I.E.S. and his own Valcrond Video. On the new one, the Brooklyn-based imprint Mexican Summer says he "ditches the irony, distortion and electronic collage of his previous records." Instead, Wyatt says he looked to the romantic 19th century landscape painters Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Caspar David Friedrich to inspire Union And Return's "lush and ornate" compositions. Wyatt returns to the imprint after 2014's Let's Cry And Do Push Ups At The Same Time. Check out album track "Feeling Is Law" below.
