  • SoundCloud has revealed details of its new paid subscription service, which has now launched in the US. The subscription service, called SoundCloud Go, was first confirmed by the company in July of 2015. SoundCloud Go is available for a free trial, after which it'll cost $9.99 per month—or $12.99 per month if purchased through SoundCloud's iOS app. SoundCloud is promising that its subscription service will offer users access to more tracks than non fee-paying users, with no ads and the ability to listen to music offline on mobile devices. The company's statement aimed to put non-subscribers at ease: "And, never fear: the totally free SoundCloud you know and love will always be here. You’ll still be able to reach the platform’s 175 million unique monthly listeners, whether they’re SoundCloud Go subscribers or not." The announcement comes a week after SoundCloud tied up a deal with Sony, meaning it had partnerships with the three major record labels following agreements with Warner Music and Universal.
