  • Parc en Ciel will release his first album via LuckyMe on April 29th. Path Integral comes from Mathieu Thomas, a Parisian artist living in Scotland who has been lurking in the LuckyMe shadows for a while now. He's been featured in mixes by Rustie in the past, and has also taken part in the annual LuckyMe Advent Calendar downloads (as well as featuring in the label's instalment of Future Artefacts in London). This is his first full release, and it's a collaboration between the Edinburgh label and travel website Eldorado Experience. Partly inspired by non-narrative documentaries like Samsara and Baraka, the label calls Path Integral an "epic journey of global discovery," meant to score a series of films directed by Goroka that "take you to the ends of the earth." LuckyMe say the music is inspired by library music, new age and prog rock, as well as classic post-rock bands like Tortoise and Trans Am. Listen to the title track below.
