Marquis Hawkes' debut album will land on June 10th.
The UK producer—who also releases music under the name Juxta Position—has been a core member of the Houndstooth roster since 2014, releasing a handful of records for the fabric-associated label. (He's appeared on Aus Music, Crème Organization and Dixon Avenue Basement Jams in the past.) Houndstooth is also handling Social Housing, Hawkes' first full-length, which is reportedly a tribute to the Berlin housing system that he calls home, according to FACT.
"Too often, particularly in the UK, the term is viewed negatively and equated with slum estates, broken windows and criminality," he says. "I want to show that something positive comes out of such schemes."
