Dorisburg, Efdemin headline Taiwan's Organik Festival 2016

- Organik Festival 2016 is set to go down in Huting, Taiwan on April 30th and May 1st. The flagship event for Taipei based promoter, label and podcast series Smoke Machine, the gathering occurs on the picturesque eastern coast of Taiwan in a one-off outdoor venue, nestled alongside seaside cliffs. Organik has been happening since 2013, with Smoke Machine's club bookings running back to 2010. The operation's built a strong reputation for bringing in forward-facing techno acts from labels like Giegling, Field and Prologue. Last month, Smoke Machine hosted Detroit legend Jeff Mills for a Taipei set. They've booked a couple of marquee live acts for this year's Organik, including Swedish mainstay Dorisburg and Giegling's Edward. Smoke Machine has supported the dreamy Weimar techno label for years, and the Giegling crew is well-represented on the festival's DJ lineup: Konstantin, DJ Dustin and Sa Pa are all set to spin. Dial Records Efdemin, Ostgut Ton's nd_baumecker and Berlin underground favorite Dr. Rubinstein round out the festival's German contingent. Chris SSG (of the defunct but influential mnml ssgs blog) and Smoke Machine resident Diskonnected will also appear on the main stage. Check out the full lineup in the event listing below.
