STP Vestax will return with a new DJ mixer, the Phoenix.
Founder Hidesato Shiino announced plans earlier this year to revive the company, which filed for bankruptcy in 2014. At the time they confirmed that a new line of products was in the works (including a turntable). Today Vestax shared pre-production photos and illustrations of its new high-end professional DJ mixer, the Phoenix.
"The highest level specifications have been applied in the design of the Phoenix," a spokesperson says, "which will be evident to the user from the [punchy] sound and dynamic range this mixer will deliver. In addition, the Phoenix will be the world's first four-channel cross fader."
The company hasn't shared other specifications or a price point yet, though they say it will be within "the usual range of high-quality professional equipment." Pre-orders will open within the week, and the mixer will hit the market next month. View more photos of the Phoenix here.
