Rural returns to Japan in 2016 with Sendai

- Pearson Sound, Neel and Jane Fitz will also play the three-day countryside techno festival in July.
- Rural have revealed the first batch of names playing their 2016 festival from July 16th to 18th. The intimate techno event has been running since 2009. This year it's moving from Mountain Park Tsunan to Yunomaru Kogen, a skiing area in Nagano Prefecture, north-west of Tokyo. Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey will link up as Sendai Sound System to headline the event, with Pearson Sound, Jane Fitz and Solar taking to the decks. Voices From The Lake's Neel will deliver a hybrid live/DJ set, while others performing live include New Zealand's Fis and the recent pairing of Felix K & Ena. The domestic scene will be well represented, with DJ Nobu, Chris SSG and AOKI takamasa among those playing the outdoor main stage. Indoors it's an all-Japanese affair featuring Takaaki Itoh, Haruka and SlyAngle. Tickets to Rural 2016 are available here on RA.
