He'll DJ and play as Broken English Club over the next two weekends.
Ho is booked for four dates in three cities, with a mix of three DJ sets and three live sets as Broken English Club, his adventurous post-punk and EBM-leaning project. These will be the first Broken English Club live appearances in the US.
The trip begins at San Francisco's BeatBox this Friday with a showcase of Cititrax, the Minimal Wave sublabel that released Broken English Club's Suburban Hunting LP late last year, hosted by Sure Thing SF and VX. Ho will play live and DJ, and Minimal Wave and Cititrax boss Veronica Vasicka is also confirmed. This Saturday sees the first of two Brooklyn bookings, with Ho DJing for Industry of Machines at Bossa Nova Civic Club—that night will also feature the US live debut of Mexican producer White Visitation, as well. Next Friday the 17th has Broken English Club and Tropic Of Cancer billed for an early-evening session on Output's roof.
Lastly is a Vague Output party at Club 1722 in Baltimore on Saturday the 18th. Ho will DJ and play live at that one, and intriguingly, one of the minds behind Belgium's influential R&S Records will also be on hand (though organizers are keeping mum on specifics).
Recent months have seen Ho reconnect with Blueprint for a new EP, Burning Heretics (the first from his own name in ten years), and a remastered repress of his 1999 EP Awakening The Sentient, both as part of the label's 20th anniversary celebrations. He's also at work on a new label, Death & Leisure, that looks to launch in July.
