- The Florida-based artist has eight tracks lined up for Galcher Lustwerk's label next month.
Quavius' debut self-titled album will land on Lustwerk Music in mid-July.
The twenty-something rapper and producer grew up in the Southern US, splitting time between Virginia and Florida. His sound is influenced by the region's musical strains, namely go-go and Baltimore club, as well as rap, R&B, jazz and drum & bass. Quavius follows the debut LP from Studio OST, the duo of Galcher Lustwerk and Alvin Aronson, which landed on Lustwerk Music in March. The new record touches on "energetic deep house, two-stepping astral funk, crispy cloud raps and cascading rollerskate riffs," the label says. "His rapping is that of a shapeshifter, making room in the mix any way he sees fit."
