Remixes of Todd Terje's "Snooze 4 Love" by Dixon and Luke Abbott will land on wax via Olsen Records on July 15th.
Todd Terje's "Snooze 4 Love," put out by Running Back in 2011, was one in a wave of hugely popular tracks from the Norwegian nu-disco producer, whose profile rose sharply thanks to similarly far-reaching cuts like "Ragysh" and "Inspector Norse" released around the same time. The Dixon rework of "Snooze 4 Love" has been streaming online for the past few years, but the Luke Abbott version (which you can hear in part over at Phonica) is previously unheard.
"I write these lines with tears," reads a message from Running Back founder Gerd Janson. "Tears of joy and tears of regret. Joy, because Todd Terje's 2011 release "Ragysh" on Running Back is still one of my label's pivotal moments—thanks to Terje of course. Regret, because "Snooze 4 Love" experiences a new dawn via Terje's own Olsen Records—and what a repetition it is."
