- The Los Angeles synth-funk producer's new six-tracker is out now.
Moon B recently released the Anything LP on his new label, World Aurale.
The LA artist born Wes Gray started making waves back in 2012 with an Untitled LP for Peoples Potential Unlimited. That label, which acts as a hub of sorts for modern funk acts and imprints, is distributing Gray's new venture, World Aurale.
Anything includes "Mending," which points to Alexander O'Neal's 1985 track "A Broken Heart Can Mend," but infuses the tune with "more woozed-out synths and melodies that are colder than Minneapolis," according to the press release. Elsewhere, we're told to expect "slappy drums, slanky bass and… 'sauna fonk.'" Thus far, World Aurale has unearthed a rare 1987 tape from LaWynn and digitally released an EP from Gray's house-leaning side project, VaibR.
