  • No Regular Play will release the Can't You See LP via Crew Love Records on August 5th. The duo of Gregory Paulus and Nicholas DeBruyn are well-known for drawing on their classical training, as well as hip-hop and jazz influences, in crafting their house sound. Paulus handles trumpet as well as vocals in the live setting. The press release explains Can't You See openly deals with the lost of a loved one, Paulus's father, Stephen. On the song "Lake Gilmore," they use a family heirloom Steinway grand piano owned by Stephen Paulus, going so far as to build the song around a chord he gravitated towards. That track also acts as the lead single, and comes with a remix by DFA mainstay Juan MacLean. No Regular Play has long been part of a tight-knit Brooklyn that which grew out of mid-00s parties at the Marcy Hotel. Most of the artists from that milieu now work with the popular Crew Love collective, which is headed up by Wolf + Lamb and Soul Clap. Tracklist 01. Rebel 02. Lake Gilmore 03. Waiting For Love 04.
