- The two Australian producers have announced a new studio project, with a release due in August.
Lucianblomkamp and Seekae's John Hassell will debut Brutalist, a new studio collaboration, on Good Manners this August.
The two Australians—based in Melbourne and London respectively—met at a gig last year and have since prepared a seven-track 'mixtape' which fuses classical and electronic elements with industrial shading. With instrumentation that ranges from the Korg Poly 800 and MPC1000 to piano and violin, the 24-minute work has a "reflective nature," according to the duo. "It's train music. You'll imagine journeys, peace and violence. You'll be kept in a limbo of excitement, movement and melancholy that will shine a blue light on whatever's on your mind."
The news comes only a week after another Hassell's Seekae bandmate George Nicholas announced a new production project with Laurens von Oswald.
