  • This month the Private Function crew have gone the big guns and invited along special guests Ivan Gough and Luke Chable for a mixup on the decks. Both known for their production credits, Gough and Chable also tote their record bags to various gigs around town. Gough has been a long term player in the Australian dance scene producing under the guise of The Traveller, or as part of Dark Alley (with Phil K and Luke Chable), Digital Mind Control (with Luke Chable), or Deep Funk Project (with Gab Oliver). RA columnist, and rising star, Luke Chable (aka Quest) is quite possibly the hottest export Australian progressive has to offer at the moment. His tracks “After The Storm”, “Eat Static” and “Sealers Cove” have alerted the world to his talent, and he’s since been doing remix work for the likes of PQM on Yoshitoshi, collaborative projects with Phil K (Lo-Step) and Nubreed (as Dirty Fours with the forthcoming “Bass Trap”). No Private Function party is complete without some new talent on the decks. This month it’s the turn of Justin Plant to step up to the decks. The Private Function residents Aaron Roach, Dean Millson, Sasha Petrovic and Derrick Dennis will be in the house as usual, just like Family! Private Function #13 takes place on Saturday June 21 at Two Floors Up, Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. Entry is $12 or $7 if you hit the guestlist link below.
