  • Sleeparchive has shuttered his self-titled label. The techno producer, real name Roger Semsroth, announced the news in a one-line Facebook post on Monday, explaining that he'd made the decision that morning. In another post shortly afterwards, Semsroth stressed that he would be continuing to produce music, play live and DJ, and that he'd recently started taking on remix projects again. He didn't go into any further detail on the label decision, other than simply stating that it was based on "sales." Founded in 2004, Sleeparchive was primarily an output for Semsroth's own productions. Many of his most far-reaching tracks—"Elephant Island," "Bleep 01," "Research"—were issued via the imprint, which helped plot the blueprint for modern minimal techno throughout the late '00s
