  • Popular Basel club Nordstern will reopen on Friday, July 15th. The venue, which has been operating since 2000, was forced to relocate earlier this year. After more than 15 years in their former home, the building's landlord declined to renew Nordstern's lease. Now, with much of the core management team intact, they've moved the club to a permanently-docked boat on the banks of the Rhine. This boat, which was partly constructed in the Netherlands, has been equipped with L-Acoustics sound, undergone extensive acoustic treatment and features an 800-square-meter outdoor area plus multiple deck levels. A restaurant will also be opened in the near future. Nordstern's opening will be a two-part affair. The Martinez Brothers headline on Friday, July 15th, followed by Bella Sarris and Diego Krause on the 16th. Seven dates are locked in for the coming weeks, with François X (July 22nd), Martin Buttrich (July 23rd), Âme (July 29th) and Tale Of Us (July 31st) among the highlights. Head to Nordstern's club page for the full schedule. Tickets to the reopening are available here on RA.
