Ricardo Villalobos's first solo 12-inch of 2016 will be the Detroit Heroes EP for Raum...musik.
The EP arrives just over one year since Villalobos's last Raum...musik outing, Who Are We?. Like that EP, Detroit Heroes comprises two side-long cuts in the Chilean-German's trademark loopy, rhythmic style. If you've caught Villalobos behind the decks at some point over the last few years, there's a chance you've heard the record's A-side cut—he's been rinsing it since it was produced it in the mid-'00s. The titles for both tunes are TBC.
News of the latest Raum...musik EP follows the announcement of Amnesia, a collaboration with Argenis Brito. Detroit Heroes will be Raum...musik's third EP of the year, after efforts from Julian Perez and Franco Cinelli.
