Frak will release UH006 on Ultimate Hits in July.
The oddball Swedish group comprising Birre, Jan Svensson and Johan Sturesson first got together back in 1987. This year, they had a retrospective called Sudden Haircut come out on Dark Entries as well as an EP called Tivoli Circus for Discos Del Quebranto.
Ultimate Hits has gathered eight new cuts for the LP. The label speaks on the trio's recent revival of sorts, saying "even if most people hadn't heard of them until four years ago, the world of Frak is as long as it is wide. As blue as it is black. As ominous as it is glorious. As dirty as it is hairdryer." Ultimate Hits has put out records by the likes of Willie Burns and Peder Mannerfelt over the past couple years. UH006 comes with artwork by Konx-Om-Pax, screen printed by House Of Traps, who is known for the elaborate covers he creates for his own label, Firecracker Records.
