  • Elektro Guzzi have a new album on the way. The Vienna-based trio—guitar, bass and drums—have been staples of Stefan Goldmann & Finn Johannsen's Macro label since their debut in 2010. They've put out three full-lengths and one live record on the German label, along with a more experimental project, Circling Above, for The Tapeworm (later released on CD by Macro). There's not much info on Clones—the album's press release is actually a textbook entry about the process and implications of cloning in agriculture, with an added paragraph that says the band "have decided to clone themselves." They "plow through their own fertile ground of ideas and sprout structures, textures and gestures into a dizzying array of new offerings." Clones features congo playing from Redouane Bariane on "Voix." Tracklist 01. Room 02. Voix 03. Slowfox 04. Element 05. Wood 06. Blue Eyes Wink 07. Merge 08. Pillow 09. Loop 10. Coda Macro will release Clones on September 16th, 2016.
