  • The first solo album from Carla Dal Forno, titled You Know What It's Like, is coming out on Blackest Ever Black in October. The Berlin-based Australian was previously in Melbourne band Mole House as well as Blackest Ever Black-affiliated acts F ingers and Tarcar. Her solo material first arrived on Kiran Sande's label earlier this year with the Fast Moving Cars 7-inch. The title track from that record features on You Know What It's Like along with seven other songs, including first single "What You Gonna Do Now?" Blackest Ever Black describes her solo output as "plain-speaking pop, disorientated by dub," with elements of psychedelic folk and post-punk thrown in. The label will host a showcase on October 15th at Corsica Studios in London, with Dal Forno billed alongside Felix K, Pessimist, Dynamo Dreesen and Ossia.
